Renewable companies in Melbourne’s south-west are working on turning household and commercial waste into electricity. 


Plans to build a ‘waste-to-energy’ plant in Laverton North are leaving residents concerned for the future of their community. Laverton resident James King says “no one wants to wake up every day wondering if their air is going to be safe to breathe.”
