WHO warns of antibiotic resistance

The World Health Organisation has reported an increase in antibiotic resistance: one in six common infections are resistant. The Global Antibiotic Resistance Surveillance Report 2025 found that between 2018 and 2023, resistance rose in over 40 per cent of antibiotics.
